Welcoming 2007

A warm welcome to the year 2007. Much had happened during the past few days when I stopped blogging for almost a week. I’ll just throw everything I remember into this post.

On the 23rd of December, my family held a Christmas dinner for my relatives. Jeffrey called me not too long ago, inviting me out for dinner but my dad told me that he had prepared a large portion of food; I apologized to Jeff as I could not join him. My aunt from Miri bought food from KFC and that alone already cost RM70++. The reason she bought that much was because one of my aunts kept pestering her saying that there would be at least 15 people coming, which includes my grandparents. And in the end, less than 10 arrived.

One of my aunt complained that we had not waited for her when she herself told us to go ahead while another of my aunt was sleeping (sleeping at such hour? Wtf). Never mind that, an adult(the aunt I mentioned who pestered my aunt from Miri) can also be so fucking careless and spill one whole glass of syrup. Just imagine the mess and I had to clean up the mess while she just stand there doing nothing. Seriously, that screwed my mood for a Christmas dinner.

I declared to my parents that I regretted staying for the dinner and rather went out with my friends because nobody enjoyed the dinner, it became just an ordinary dinner stink with irritation and annoyance without any special meaning behind it.

On the 24th of December, I was told that Jeffrey was organizing a Christmas party for the choir club on the 25th. Kelvin, Chen and I helped Jeff to prepare all the necessary items needed for the party; we even bought a large toy hammer for the fun of it. Jeff would be the game master while Chen would be the OmniKnight (taken from DotA – the hero with the hammer the size of his height). Not only do we have to thank Jeff for making this gathering successful, we have to thank his dad too for taking the trouble to transport the plastic chairs, providing 2 boxes (is it call boxes?) of drinks – Coke and 7up and many more.

On the 25th, we went to nearby departmental stores to get all the items needed which includes butter and honey, 4kg of chicken wings and leek for BBQ; balloons for decoration and games. Those who came for the party was Kheng Seng aka Ah Seng, Irene, Martin, Keith, Guang Yang, Eric, Yee Kai, Kwong Siong, Aldrin, Judieth, Pauline, Siew Yong, Esther, Jacq, Chen, Jeff, and Kelvin. Laura, Shirley and Pei San could not make it. (Did I write anyone’s name wrongly? If I did, please correct me.)

Approximately 1900, Jeff asked me to accompany him to take the food he had ordered from a restaurant not too long ago, all he said to the person in charge was: Please prepare those food enough for 20 people. ; Guang Yang and Keith came along too to help out. We assumed that the total cost of the food (Noodles, Vege, and 2 kinds of meat) should not exceed RM100, but to our horror, the receipt showed a staggering amount of RM252! That scared the hell out of Jeff because he had not brought that much money with him, luckily Guang Yang had a hundred with him while Jeff paid the rest. He told us not to let others know about the cost of the food until the next choir meeting which we obeyed quietly.

I’m glad everyone enjoyed the food and the games. Chen damaged the hammer when he smacked someone too hard on the backside during the time for games and caused the toy hammer to lose one of its head. Everyone laughed hysterically for around 10 minutes before everyone settled down again.

I hope I don’t miss out anything… Year 2007 is coming in real soon. a 6GB download took me 4 days and 3 hours to complete. I’m glad that my entire torrent downloads (which includes 2 episodes of Crescent Love) are completed. There was a sudden increase in download speed and I wouldn’t want to miss that chance, which means I have to give up my chance to get into bs3 and have a few games with my clan mates.

Crescent Love's ending is a cruel but happy one. I'm glad that it was, if not I would have wasted months for nothing. I've noticed that Tatsuya pinch Feena's nose almost every episode, a new method of courting a girl? Who wants to try that out? :D

Recently an earthquake happened in Taiwan and caused a small number of casualties and quite a number were injured. Somehow nobody took notice of the victims of the earthquake and complained over and over saying that the earthquake had ruined their internet connection and download speed. All my friends complained were the internet speed and none even showed any concern to the victims of the catastrophe. I wonder why? Is the internet more important than human life?

Goodbye 2006.

Welcoming 2007; I had been inactive for the past week, will update my blog asap.

Pass!

I went for my law test - the theory part, this morning with Kelvin. The instructor told us to be ready by 0900, so I reached Kelvin’s house at 0855 and guess what? The instructor came at 0930. Typical Malaysian time isn’t it?

I was nervous all the way before I took the test because I was thinking that, if I failed it, I’ll have to re-sit for it over and over again till I passed it. When my mum said that her sister’s brother-in-law’s daughter took the test for over 8 times but still not able to pass. Her dad resort to bribing the examiners to pass her daughter. I wouldn’t want that to happen to me as well… so when my name was called, I crossed my fingers and entered the exam room. I took 22 minutes to finish the test and was worried because there were quite a number of questions which I do not understand but just randomly mark my answer.

I passed the test, a lucky one I’d say. I get 42/50. Mum said that I should be give thanks to God for passing me as I had not even studied for the test. I told her I did study for the test. But to think of it, that was 3 months ago and I had forgotten everything by then. Miracles happen around us, just that we hardly notice it ourselves… Anyway, I'll be facing boredom for a duration of six hours tomorrow, on the process just to get a driving license of my own... But I won't have any car to drive. What's the point of it?

I finished watching the anime Chobits today(started watching 1 week ago) though it is an old anime. The story begins on the life of Hideki Motosuwa, a repeat student attempting to get into university by studying at the Seki prep school in Tokyo. An honest and unassuming teenager raised in a farm, he has little experience with women, though his imagination and libido are both quite active. He often talked to himself and was regarded as someone insane by the citizens of the city.

Besides wanting a girlfriend, the other thing he dreams of having is a persocom. A Persocom is an android in the shape of a human but is a personal computer. Hideki discovers that persocoms are common in the city. They are programmed with fairly subdued personalities and assist their owners with are easily identifiable by the large ears (data ports) on the sides of their heads, and is also able to collect emails, make phone calls, surfing the internet and many more.

But persocoms costs a bomb and Hideki does not have the money to purchase one, so he figures the only way he'll ever have one is if he were to find one lying on the curb. No sooner has he thought of this, it happens: on his way home from the grocery store one evening, he stumbles across a persocom in the form of a naked beautiful young girl with blonde long hair, wrapped in cloth (more to bandage cloth), lying on a pile of trash bags. He thought that it was a murder but upon closer inspection, he realized that she had ears like the persocoms he had seen in the shops earlier, he carries her home and had not noticed that a disk dropped as he walks away. He finally turns her on and she comes instantly to life and regards Hideki with adoration, hugging him often and was fascinated by him as she often mimics the things he does, but the only word she ever says is "chi", so Hideki named her Chii.

Hideki requested the help of his newfound friend Shinbo to try to figure out the origin of Chi since he is quite an expert in the current technology. Shinbo owns a smaller persocom of his own by the name Sumomo. All they could found out was that Chii does not have any operating system installed. Shinbo is perplexed as to how she's able to be active at all with a blank memory. Thus, he told Hideki to look for Minoru, another expert with persocoms.

Meanwhile Hideki takes it upon himself to teach everything he knew like words, concepts and behavior to Chii while he attends school; he found a part-time job in a Japanese pub – My Pleasure, and makes a number of new friends. He finds himself putting aside his libido and protecting Chii against people who want her for themselves; he buys her a storybook even though he needs a dictionary badly, in which she seems to take an unusual interest; she showed him unconditional love and cheered for him through his studies. Soon, it's clear that Chi is developing feelings for Hideki to a level that persocoms aren't supposed to be able to have, and Hideki seems to be falling in love with her, despite his friends' warnings against having feelings for an artificial person – it will not bear any fruit as persocoms are persocoms, they can never be humans.

This one looks like Chii, just that she doesn't have the ears of a perscom. I am sure I have seen this picture before… somewhere.

Not too long ago, while I was busy over something, she nudged me at msn and started a conversation. I used a wrong usage of words by telling her I’m busy currently and had made her cried for 4 days without myself knowing until she told me about it and said it was I who caused her to cry when I questioned who made her cry. Then I recalled the way I talked to her over msn 4 days ago and apologized over and over. I mean come on; it’s just an online relationship, why would someone be so sensitive to some words and cry over someone they had not met before? Such is complicated and beyond my understanding. Sigh…

Day One

This post should be quite an old one... But I just received the pictures from Anwar yesterday and would like to share with everyone here... All the pictures were taken in room 5.01

It was an innocent photo posing... with all the choir club members.

Suddenly the guys became wild and decided to play WWE. (Actually its not, just lifting him up for fun)

This time I'm the victim. Picture taken with dancesport club members (I was tossed unto the ground after the picture was taken, no bones were broken).

Swinburne Choir Club won the 3rd place, sadly I wasn't in the picture as I was in 5.01 cleaning up the room with a few of the choir members.

Her or your friends?

There was this person who successfully courted a girl even though his friends advised him not to (reason to be kept a secret). Ever since then, his relationship with his friends was not as close as they were before due to the frequent disagreements between themselves. When he talked to his friends, their tone were never the same old caring ones, it became a tone of annoyance and irritation; the conversations he had with his friends were never pleasing ones, whenever his friends had something to comment on him, it would just come out freely without a second thought. So…

My question here is: Would you choose her over your friends who had been with you for many years? Or would you choose your friends over her whom you had tried so hard to won her heart and had successfully have it? Would you prefer happiness or your friendship bonds?

Want to know what had happened afterwards?

He said he left the girl, but my friends think otherwise – the girl left him.

Put that aside, what would your choice be? Her or your friends?

Should I or shouldn't I?

I wonder if I should get myself a pair of spectacles. Felt left out after Kelvin got his own pair of spectacles, which leaves me alone without specs in my gang of friends.

The reason to get specs? I have Pseudo myopia, not a serious one though. I have trouble with my vision, everything just seems blurry and I could only stare hopelessly and blankly at the whiteboard. I hate it when I am late for lectures/tutorials and had to sit at the far end of the room and could only depend on my friend for the notes written on the whiteboard by the lecturer.

The 1 week holiday will be over in a few minutes, marking a new day – Monday. There will be 2 assessments coming up on Friday morning and afternoon. Good luck to all Summer Semester students.

Swinburne's Open Day

The moment I entered Swinburne this morning, I was greeted by one of the seniors and directed to the enquiry area on the course that a freshmen should take. Only after I told them that I am a member of the Choir club, then I am free to go. The club booths are on the 5th floor (in those lecture rooms) and we shared the same room with the dancesport club. I only saw Farah alone, and then I realize that both of us were the only choir members present. The scheduled time was at 0900 but most of them arrived later. We headed off to the cafeteria and met Jeffrey along the way and the 3 of us went to the café since they had not taken their breakfast yet.

Slightly a few minutes away to 1000, almost all the members had arrived and we met at the lobby area. It was then decided that we split into groups of 2, the 1st group to buy decorations to decorate the lecture room and the 2nd group to fetch Chen aka Holy Knight to campus since he doesn’t have any transportation.

From here on, I’ll just summarize everything. The dance sport club presented 5 types of dances if I’m not mistaken. The choir club’s presentation followed next. We sang 2 songs and Farah soloed a song. Her voice is one of the high-pitched ones, second only to Irene, our conductor. During the free hours, we decorated the room with the decorations bought earlier. I had sushi and more sushi for lunch; courtesy of the Japanese Club (did I name it correctly?). Both dance sport and choir club made preparations for the next scheduled performance at 1400 and 1500 respectively.

Between 1400 and 1500, around 5 lecturers/staffs came to rate each club. I was told that the club with the best performance/speech/decorations will walk away with a hamper. The 3rd prize belongs to the Choir Club; the 2nd prize belongs to the Anime Club and the Roteract Club walked away with the 1st prize. I’ve heard a number of students complained saying that the Roteract Club had only a few books on display and they won the 1st prize, which is very unfair to all of the clubs. Well, no matter what they say, the judges’ results are final, no appealing or changes to be made. The Anime Club put on some toy models for display on their booth. Besides that, they cosplayed the characters from the anime – Death Note. Personally, I think that the 1st prize should belong to them, not the Roteract club. The members’ hard work pays off nicely.

It was then decided that we distribute the hamper among the members during the next meeting on Tuesday, 1300. So… all choir members, remember to be present during that day. Around 1400, we bid farewells and went our own way. 4 of us, Kelvin, Chen, Pei San and I followed Jeffrey’s car. He treated us lunch today at one of the café at Chong Lin Park before sending each of us back home.

Today, I came across a picture.

I thought it was Miss Melinda, my lecturer. But a closer look tells me that the person isn’t her. I guess I’ll need to get some rest for my eyes. She appears to be an old friend of mine.

The incoming event

Morning approximately 0720, Jeffrey called and told me that he and Jin Thad will be coming to pick me up for breakfast and head off to campus. During that moment I was still having my sweet dreams until my HP rang non-stop. They reached my house when I was still in my towel, they were asked to come in and have a seat while I put on some clothes before leaving for breakfast. They took a look at the digital piano of mine when I greeted them and the three of us agreed that it wasn’t possible to put the whole instrument into Jin Thad’s car.

What happened actually? It began yesterday afternoon when Irene smsed to notify me about the digital piano stuff – my dad agreed to lend the piano for the open day presentation few days ago. I thought it was for the open day only so I confirmed that it would not be a problem. After Jeffrey smsed me again last night telling me that I have to bring the piano tomorrow, everything seemed very far to me and I was troubled. Some rough measurements were measured before I smsed Jin Thad to see if the piano would be able to fit into his car or not. My dad was worried about the handling of the piano as he doesn’t want a single scratch on it. Before they see the actual piano, it was able to fit in. Maybe my rough measurements were incorrect, but after they see the real instrument. They conclude that it will definitely not fit in Jin Thad’s car.

Nevertheless, we went for our breakfast at BDC and headed to Jeffrey’s house after we finished our meal. Jeffrey requested his dad to use a van to ship the piano from my house to Swinburne and back home to my house again… Thanks a lot Jeffrey! The choir club will present a dance and a choir presentation during Swinburne’s open day. The instrumental presentation was cancelled I think, it’s because the pianist and the person-in-charge had not came in one mind regarding the instruments used for the instrumental presentation. The person-in-charge wanted the pianist to use a keyboard, but the pianist wanted to use a digital piano/piano because the touch is different, so is the range of the keys.

In the end, it was decided that I’ll take my piano home and use the keyboard. Well, it sounds fine to me as I do not wish them to carry the digital piano all the way to the 5th floor without a single scratch on it. We did practice on the ‘ca ca’ dance and singing ‘joy to the world’ the presentation will definitely be a fruitless one because the instrumental presentation took up most of the presentation time.

The open day starts at 0800 till 1600 if not mistaken. Don’t miss it. Jacq, if you are reading this… remember to come ok? The presentation will not start until you arrive! XD

Offtopic: I experienced a high-heel shoe down on my bare foot for the first time today though it was an accident during the ‘ca ca’ dance. It hurts awhile but there wasn’t any marks left on my foot.

A letter from Jesus

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer. It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think of me.

As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of thecelebration. I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts.

But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation. The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face and I wanted to be with them and share their table. In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" as if the party were in his honor! At midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and do you know no-one hugged me.

Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one? I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left. Every year it gets worse. People only remember the gifts, the parties, to eat and drink, and nobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you.

Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart. I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, and a spectacular party. I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invitation will be left outside. Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great party. See you soon. I Love you!

Jesus

Share this fowarded message with your loved ones, before Christmas.

An unexpected event

It was around 1030 when I received a call from Jeffrey. The 1st thing he asked me was, "why didn't you answer my phone call?" (In mandarin). Only then I realize that I had left my phone in the other room (my parent's room) and I was in my own room. I was shocked when he told me that we have to do our presentation today and we were to arrive at 1130 the latest.

I cancelled all my incoming tasks and began to look for my black formal wear (sort-of-MIB wear) needed for the presentation. To my horror, my mum told me that it was still hanging outside (washed this morning). Nevertheless, the shirt and pants was ironed over and over till it was possible to be used. Headed off to Kelvin's house at 1110 and reached the campus at around 1120. A quick warm up was initiated, led by our conductor - Irene.

Before it was our turn to present, the staffs played 2 games if not mistaken. The first is pass-the-box or w/e it is. Basically, the music plays on, and you pass a box to the one beside you till the music stops. The one holding the box will have to be punished by doing some action unknown to me. That’s all I get when enquiring with my lecturer. The 2nd game is Left, Right. All the staffs were given a present to hold with, then, the MC will read out a story with LOADS of left and wrights (right). It was chaos, why so? It's because there's one staff holding almost 9 presents (due to the confusion of left and right and had no time to pass the presents but to collect them only) and everyone burst into laughter.

Finally it was our turn to present. The 1st song was 'We wish you a Merry Christmas', the 2nd song was 'Joy to the World', and the 3rd song was performed by Judieth and Madam Maggie – ‘This December’ it was such a sweet and peaceful song. The final song was ‘Feliz Navidad’ it was alright in the beginning but somehow we messed up a little on the ending part. Luckily it went well and the staffs were pleased.

Had lunch at HK noodle house in Saberkas before heading home.

Kelvin and Chen (HolyKnight) came with their PC and laptop today. Chen complained of his slow internet connection while Kelvin was unsure whether his PC needs reformatting or the fault lies in his internet connection (extremely slow ul/dl, more to 56kb modem). After testing his computer with my connection, it was concluded that the fault lies in his internet connection and not his PC. I took some tv shows and movies from the both of them (since I seldom download/torrent)

Apparantly, my room became a mini cyber-cafe for the 3 of us. We played 3 rounds of DotA today in Bs3, only then I understand why many players complained that if friends are together, there's no point playing on. Teamwork was completely perfect and our opponents did not stand a chance at all... Not bragging ok?

I do enjoy the moments of shouting and excitement when we are in a game. Thanks for dropping by guys!

The unexpected

The majority arrived at 0830 in the morning and headed off to room 5.03 for the final rehearsal of the presentation. As usual, some were very late, some were very early. Typical Malaysian time. The final preparations were made as we did warming up to project our voices out as far as we could; rehearsed at the auditorium (where we were going to sing); put on a Santa hat, preparing the candles and the ladies applying make up. Even we guys have to put on a sort of grape-fruit-taste-gloss which is tasteless when you use your tongue to lick it, that’s what I did out of curiosity as it smell nice. Silly me.

Few moments before we entered the auditorium to sing to all the Swinburne staffs, there were many people rushing down the stairs in a fast pace, asking all those who were still there to evacuate the building as it had caught fire. It was chaos for a moment and finally everyone evacuated safely, none was hurt or scalded with burns. Apparently the top floor of Swinburne caught fire, burning almost everything out. The view from the ground floor was this; 3 different colors of smoke, blackish-gray, pale yellow and ghostly white. Firemen came after a short while to put out the fire but somehow it was in vain, even the ambulance came for some unknown reasons. After another short while, another fire engine came to control the fire, only then did the fire stop spreading out.

Luckily they did not smile and take a picture like this while the campus is under fire like this picture.

Some of the staffs requested us to sing to them outside the campus, which was a very weird request to me as we usually sang indoors. In the end we had an outdoor singing for the 1st time and it turned out well. Then we headed off to Cili Padi to have our lunch. The food there was quite good and the price was reasonable, we stayed there for almost 2 hours while the rain poured heavily. Finally we headed back to Swinburne to collect our stuffs left behind during the fire outrage. One would assume that it was night time in Swinburne if not for the emergency lights and the pale light shining in from outside.

The cause of the fire is unknown yet.
The damage of the fire is a pitch-black atmosphere in the campus (no more lights).
The result of the fire is a 1 week onwards holiday until further notice (which means no study info assessment).

So, is the fire outbreak actually good or bad?

Edit: Forgot to include the title.

The trial

These few weeks, the choir practice went on and on, for the sake of presenting our best to all the Swinburne staff on the 11th of December. I just hope that my throat will recover by tomorrow morning as I had coughed and coughed during the singing… argh!

The final decision for the dress code would be black from top to bottom; formal wear. Cool eh? There would be around 20+ MIB (men in black) and WIB (women in black) singing for the Swinburne staff eh?

After church service and lunch, my parents and I went off to Parkson to get my black shirt and also to get a pair of new sandals for both me and my dad as our old ones are near to unusable. It was such a disappointment that Parkson did not have any proper black shirt and sandals were out of stock at such moments. Then we headed to Sarawak Plaza next to get my shirt and sandals. I met Yu King working part-time there, had a short conversation with him and moved on. I found the sandals suitable for me but not my dad (which means I don’t have to use my bro’s anymore as it was kinda troubling when he needs to use them too at the same time). The black shirts in Sarawak Plaza were scarce so that explains the high rate of discounts over there but the sizes left was only XXL and XL.

After trying out those sizes, it was concluded that it was too big for me and I would looked funny in it. The helpful staffs told us to head over to Tun Jugah as there were more choices and maybe I can get what I had wanted there. I finally found the right size though it is slightly more expensive than those I mentioned earlier. During the way back home, I realized that I had forgotten to get a dark-colored tie as mentioned in the notice for the dress code; luckily it is not compulsory…

I’ve spent most of my weekends watching Kanon and Kanon 2006, it seems that Kanon 2006 had better graphics and animation; the characters are livelier as well. The story basically tells of Yuuichi Aizawa returning to this city after seven years. In his childhood, he often visited it, but something had happened in the past which caused him to erase and blank out all his memories of the events of seven years ago. On the day after he gets settled in with Nayuki Minase and her mum, Akiko Minase, he met a girl carrying a small bagpack with wings (of an angel IMO) on it. Her name is Tsukimiya Ayu and he began to recall the memories he had lost slowly. More characters were introduced in each new episode, bringing spark and life to the anime. I personally like the opening and ending theme of this anime and of course the quality of the graphics. :)

My aunt from Miri will be visiting us tomorrow, some major cleaning up was initiated since yesterday. She will be going to Singapore with my mum and my other aunts, uncles and grandparents (unsure) but I won’t be going due to the summer semester I am in. Well, going there wasn’t in my thoughts anyway, it would be weird if I bumped unto an old friend there and then go wordless like the first time we talked through the phone.

Alright… the final rehearsal for the choir presentation will be at 8.30am sharp in room 5.03, all the best to everyone! It will be only one shot, fail or get through it only. Mistakes will not be pardoned. Oh well, time for dinner, parents are calling. I guess I’ll stop here for now… Till then.

One sleepless night?

Maybe, Or not.

It is still a sleepless night anyway.

Choir presentation coming in a few days time, intensive training on the line and...

Forced to sleep again though I'm not tired or sleepy. Sigh

The 1st sight...

The 1st time I met her was 3 years ago. The 1st time she came to my house, all my family members could not wait to meet her. Well, not all actually. I think my mum wasn’t up to her entering our home and becoming a part of our family. Although there were some ‘confusions and misunderstandings’ initially, everything went well after we became familiar with her ups and downs.

Recently, her condition began to collapse exponentially. Besides calling in so-called ‘doctors’ to get her back to her original state, nothing could be done as the damage has been done. She was given many names, ugly names of course, by the ones who met her before.

Even though I do really dislike her sometimes, she’s the only choice here for the time being, what can I do? Many had lodged complains to her manager but only a small amount was answered. Even those whose complains had been answered did not saw any difference between her condition before the ‘doctors’ came and after the ‘doctors’ go.

Sometimes I do hope the company managing her would just put in MORE effort to answer the users’ demands, if not, they are definitely going to see many migrating to other ‘her’ once available in their vicinity.

Wondering who is the ‘her’ I kept mentioning over and over again? It is none other than…

Is tmnut screamyx considered a 'she' or 'her' anyway?

Slightly better

I realized that with an extra 5 hours sleep, which makes up a total of 8 hours is the remedy for my recovery. I'm feeling better today with only cough and sore throat with me while the others had left me. It seems that my dad also fell ill too (I did not infect him... I'm innocent!); So our family did not went to church this morning. It was kinda odd as our family usually go to the church no matter what. Somehow today is exclusive...

Wadaheck. This is already the 4th week of my Summer semester and my mind is still 90% blank. I guess I'm not too used to the no-holiday mood as this is the last 'ber' month and is also the holiday month for all teenagers. Advancing to a youth and soon to an adult...

I miss my teenage years... :(

Can you do the impossible?

The picture below might be familiar to some of you out there.

It basically tells us the world is sphere-shaped and umm, no matter which side of the earth are you in, you won't fall out from it.

Wanna give it a shot?

Sick again

Once upon a time, there were 5 friends who were always together. They visit their victims separately once in awhile but for my case, all 5 of them visited me at once, the same day, same hour, same moment… wanna know who they are?

Well, they are none other than Mr. Fever, Mr. Cough, Mr. Flu, Mr. Headache and Mr. Sore throat. I’m not too surprised over it as when I get sick, I’m completely sure all 5 of them will ‘befriend’ me at the same time.

Can anyone recommend me some ‘nice’ way to send them away ‘politely’? Please don’t tell me to visit the doctor; I had not done so for the past 6 years already and WILL NOT do so for the sake of curing my illness. I do not depend on medicine for healing as it will weaken the body in the long run.

Sigh.
A worldwide survey was conducted by the United Nations.

The only question was: “Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure...

In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.
In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.
In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.
In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.
In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.
In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.
And finally, in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

F*ck off.

They say friendship is like wine, it gets better when it grows older, provided that it is kept in a good condition. But if it is not, it becomes vinegar, sour to the taste, ruining the quality expected from the wine. The same goes to friendship too, if both sides do not show respect and tolerance, it will be ruined anytime.

A person, whom I respected, became trash in my eyes not too long ago. Why is that so? I know it’s sad for me to have such a personality that dislikes profanity but what can I do? I am WHO I AM. Nobody can change me, especially in such times when I’m dead cold emotionally. Speaking of that, nobody would even want to change me anyway.

DotA – Damnation of the Ah-Bengs

It seems like dota had destroyed many friendships, just a game clouded with misunderstanding and defeat could easily ruin a weather-beatened friendship bond. Especially those with lala-ish attitude like you. Too crude or too harsh? This is just for you only Mr. Y.

I’ll tell you directly if you are reading this. I had been tolerating with your attitude in campus all the while. I understand the lala-type of you people as I have other friends who are such as you. Showing off and acting cool feels great isn’t it? I tolerate IRL, but I DO NOT tolerate IVR. You talked like you couldn't care less on what's going on and scolding others.

Seriously, your gaming skills are below average, just that the way you talk make you sound like you are so great. Had I not shown any mercy to you and your teammates, you probably would have cried out loud FGS. You have met your nemesis today, today will be the last day I'll have a good look at you again before dumping you into my shitlist of another lousy gamer. FYI, I judge not on your gaming skills but your attitude.

Try humbling yourself more; you might be the best among your ring of friends, but not outside your ring of friends. Enough for me tonight, all my recent post are mainly hatred and more hatred. Damn it.

Thievery again

Another case of thievery, but an extremely serious one, at least, to me. This friend of mine M lost his laptop, his bag and all his belongings (TI calc, HRW textbook, important notes, files etc.) were also taken away by the heartless thief. Same goes to his two friends too – they lost their laptops at the same time. I was told that it must be the work of Swinburne students. Why so?

They drove to King Centre yesterday afternoon for lunch, during the time they had lunch, the car was broken in and the ones who took the laptops were completely sure where M and his friends kept their laptops at. It took only a short while for them to take everything away from them. It was as if they were already targeted on the moment they left the campus. How could anyone besides the students know of the laptops anyway?

It seems that M came to Swinburne and had lost a number of valuables. I do pity him sometimes. From his outer appearance, he smiled as if nothing had happened, but deep inside, I could sense the sadness and sorrow inside him. How could he have such a cruel fate?

Anyway, the moral of the lesson is: keep your valuables with you, big or small, priceless or not, wherever you go, whenever you go. The devil always lurks behind you, waiting for an opening when you are not aware of it.

This summer semester is… unsettling.
It's 5.30am in the morning. Maybe I should get some sleep now. Good night dudes!

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Shame on you.

This is the 3rd week of my summer semester for moral studies. We touched on euthanasia on the 1st week, child abortion on the 2nd week and we touched on the so-called taboo topic - premarital sex and extra-marital sex today.

Obviously, I’m blogging this because of the annoyance and irritation caused by a group of ah bengs talking loudly, annoying many students who kept quiet because they were given no chance to ask the tutor any questions and making stupid jokes on the topic we had today which was not funny at all, at least to me.

My focus is on a was-good-student whom his name I will not mention. Anyway, before I continue on. Many bombarded me with this question on why had I stayed single all the while and never even looked for a partner or anything. Well, today I shall present to you my answer and I hope that you would pardon me for not answering to you last time.

I understand how you felt when your girl left you for some reasons which would be best if left unknown to the public and I know how awkward it is for you to see your ex in the same class as you are, all the 3 subjects. A friend of mine said you were so agitated yet excited on the topic that you bombarded the tutor with a number of questions which the answers were obvious and stupid. The 2, or should I say 3 of you really could just learn to control your tongue. Maybe you felt great for talking so loudly and questioning the tutor with questions over and over and disagreeing with almost everything the tutor lectured us about. I’d just say the more you talk the more stupid you look. No offence, honestly.

From a good student in your parent’s sight, you’ve changed totally, if not, almost completely. You never smoked at all, from what I’ve heard, the day she left you, you smoked a number of cigarettes in a morning. Are you trying to run from your problems? Are you not willing to face your problems? Are you not a man, full of respect in the eyes of us? If a girl alone could change you so much, how the hell are you going to face the working world next time? Are you going to force alcohol and drugs unto yourself to escape from your problems?

Seriously dude, learn to be more optimistic. It will benefit you greatly in the long run. Smoking is not the way to solve your neverending problems. Try facing it instead?
See what I mean by being single? A breakup can cause so much damage to a person's life, both male and female. Many said they knew of the consequences of failing a relationship yet they still involve themselves in it. Why?

Forgetfulness

I missed two classes since last week and today. WTH is wrong with me? I know I have short-term memory for many things but this is out of the mind, I even jot down the dates for the extra classes and yet I forgot them. What is wrong with me??

Oh ya, I had 'upgraded' my blog to the so-called blogger beta but had no idea how to use the new functions. Anyone out there is kind enough to teach me? =/ I had become quite blur recently for no reason. Maybe I'm getting old?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the Christmas gathering, sort of reunion for everyone I guess. I really hope I won’t forget about the party too. Sigh…

Saturday, November 25, 2006

I’m telling you, boy, to show some respect to we students who wants to study. Even if you do not respect us, do you even have a slightest respect for the lecturer? You were lucky not to get sent out of the class unlike a friend of mine who was sent out for talking in a lecture hall during the 2nd semester, I need not reveal his name anyway. Try not to take the lecturer’s kindness for granted, you wouldn’t like it when things do not go your way.

I was told that it was you who promoted yourself as a candidate for SSSC 2007. A friend of mine said you do not even have the basic necessities of becoming a leader. I couldn’t agree less as you were nothing more than a pest in the class. From your outer shell, you looked knowledgeable and wise, but once you opened your mouth and started yapping non-stop, I knew I was wrong. I’ll let you know that you were hated by a number of students during the prom night as the MC (if I had not mistaken your face, which I doubt I have). Out of respect for those of my friends who knew you and treated you as a friend, I kept quiet.

Honestly, you are nothing in the sight of the majority. Like a lecturer of mine said before, learn to respect others if you wish to be respected by others. You coming late for class is pardoned by the lecturer, but not showing proper behavior and attitude is unpardonable.

Anyway, in case you are reading this. I’ll just get it straight with you.

You and your friends are not alone in the class; there are many students who wished to study.

If you dislike the subject, just get out of the class.
If you think you are smart, just get out of the class.
The class would be better off without you. Seriously, change your attitude, it sucks. Period.

Anime fever

Recently, I picked up a habit of my brother of watches animes and nothing else but animes almost every day, every hour, every minute, every second, every moment... bla bla bla yada yada yada...

I couldn’t agree less that Japanese are good producers of the animes. Animes like Naruto and Bleach are kinda popular in Swinburne, why so? Well, I could see some of them performing the seal imitated from Naruto, luckily no one imitated Bleach by carrying unique swords/katana around.

These are the few animes I had watched.

Ouran high school host club

The story basically tells of a new girl, Haruhi who was a poor tomboyish student entering the Ouran high school where all the filthy rich students are. She could not even afford the uniform but was able to attend the school because of the scholarship. The story starts at where she was looking for a quiet place to study as most of the places are filled up and too noisy. In the end, she stumbled across the peculiar but popular Ouran Host Club. She tried to leave but broke a priceless vase accidentally and was unable to pay for it. Then, she was told to stay and do odd jobs/work till she graduated. Without realizing she’s a female due to her appearance, they gave him; I mean her, a male uniform. She was the bomb, instantly popular among the girls eventhough she’s a girl herself. It was only then the whole host club knew she was a girl, but not the whole school. Haruhi found herself accepted in a new environment with many new and close friends. This anime is more to the comedy type of anime, love and romance but more to creating laughter to the spectators.

Gunslinger girl

The story tells about the Social Welfare agency, a government sponsored corporation is in the business for saving orphaned or abandoned children who are terminally ill or injured beyond the point of saving. Using cybernetic implants, the Agency uses a process called 'conditioning' to turn orphaned children into emotionless killing machines with hardly any memories, no human comfort and worst of all, no free will. The girls who make up the assassination unit within the Social Welfare agency are Henrietta, Triela, Claes, Rico and Angelica, all whom have shady backgrounds which led to their involvement with the agency. Each girl is skilled in martial arts, weapons and tactics, demolitions, foreign languages, espionage and counter-terrorism, skills that are necessary when dealing with terrorism, illegal arms deals or even crime organizations that have a serious stranglehold on the country of Europe. But while these girls are the perfect weapons against these types of everyday problems, they must constantly do their best to hold on to what little pieces of their humanity they have left, as they are being forced to commit cold-blooded murder, sometimes even killing innocent people who get in the way. Jose, Henrietta's handler doesn't like the way she and the other girls are being treated as tools for massacre and it pains him everyday to see Henrietta and her friends having to go through this type of life. But if Henrietta and the others want to live to see tomorrow, they have to play the guinea pigs and earn their keep, by getting their hands dirty for the Social Welfare agency, which is responsible for giving them their second chance at life. Happiness

This anime is about mages and the normal people. I’ve watched till the 2nd episode only so couldn’t tell much about it. It’s about a girl named Kamisaka Haruhi from the magic department, a genius of Mizuhosaka academy. Somehow the magic department burned down and those who were in it were transferred to the regular department. It was then she gets to know Kohinata Yuuma in person. There’s also a gal, I mean guy, by the name of Jun, a genuine guy but somehow look completely like a gal… weird but intresting, I’m expecting more to come from the coming weeks.

Yoakemae yori ruriiro na - Cresent love

This is my favourite among the rest I’ve watched. It tells about the princess from the moon – Feena Fam Earthlight who is coming for a home stay at Tatsuya Asagiri’s house. Somehow, Tatsuya met a girl from the moon few years back after his mum passed away. He had developed a liking for the girl and was interested in lunar studies in his school eventhough the subject is not included in the examination just because he wanted to go to the moon to see her again. “I will study as much as I can, so that I will be able to go up to the moon.” was what he said. There are quite a lot of chibi parts which was funny IMO. It also tells about the Trattoria Samon, a restaurant where Tatsuya, Natsuki and Jin worked at. Natsuki always whacked her brother Jin who’s a pervert. The result of that was that her brother, Jin’s debt is mounting up due to the damage done to the window panes. (When she does so, Jin usually flies out of the restaurant, damaging one window panes during the process. “Jin, I’m cutting your salary for repairs.” Would be what his father would say.) During the 5th episode when they were stranded in a no-man-island. Tatsuya found out that the girl he met during his childhood times was none other than the princess herself. His heart shattered when he found out that the princess is already engaged to Jürgen Krüger. Despite that, with the support of his close friends and his elder sister, he went out with hope to get her back. Currently waiting the next episode now.

P.S: Those I had written above might not be complete so you have to watch the anime yourself to get the whole picture and somehow i'm unable to upload pictures to blogspot... anyone knows how to solve it?

The results are out!

It was released today morning. Go grab yours here.
(you have to login to the blackboard to get it)

I thank the Almighty One above who had watched over me, guiding me and helping me in my papers because I did last minute studying and what I had studied wasn't even in the paper.

1 D, 2 C and 3 P

I wasn't too happy with it but what can I say? These are the results for last minute study (the day before examination).

But... I'm HAPPY today!

Wednesday is movie night!

Went for a movie at Wednesday with Daniel, Timothy, Kelvin, Wan Yan, Siew Yong and Pauline.
The movie we watched was 'Boo' or something close to that. A movie filled with horror, considerate amount of blood and gore, violence and violence and more violence.

The movie tells of a Halloween day where a group of 5 teenagers (3 guys and 2 gals) wanting to have an exciting and memorable night. Actually it was the guys who wanted it, not the gals. The scene takes place in an old abandoned hospital where the living entered and never came out alive. One of the guys when in with his dog to set up the ‘tricks’ to scare the living hell out of the gals, courtesy of the 2 guys. After he finished setting everything and was about to leave, something happened and his dog acted strangely. Usually, we humans wished that our dreams come true, but for this movie, you would wished that your dreams were never coming to reality, the unseen becomes visible and no longer ethereal Soon, screams filled the air as the spectators opened their mouth and trembled in terror. Mark this number – “333”.
There are a total of 8 persons entering that abandoned hospital. 5 teenagers went in for fun, and only 1 came out alive. The other 1 went in to search for his missing sister and her friend and the last one was a cop. He found his younger sister, who had gone in earlier with her friend. Sadly, none of them were alive. Her friend was dead and animated while she herself was possessed by a ghost, Casper! (Good ghost I say, but not Casper). The blood and gore effects are nice… in a way. Enough spoilers, go watch the movie yourself if you are interested! (lol, is this called promoting?)

Alright, maybe you would think I am exaggerating. But hey, I had a good scare of my life though I did not scream or shout. (Forgot how many years ago when I watched ghost/horror movie). Anyway, the movie gets a 3/5 rate from me if I were to rate it because the storyline is going from perfect to normal to bad which is predictable again as usual. Anyway it is worth watching. Go grab your tickets!

Met Ah Seng with his gang of friends, Ah Jian with his gf, Phoebe and my old gang of friends - Jorge, Galvin and Raziman when we stepped out of the cinema. After a drink and Hui Sing, all of us headed back home to have a good nights sleep.

I was lucky not to have nightmares that night, I wish I don’t have nightmares after I blog this as the scenes from Boo is coming back to me…

Wide awake

Sometimes I wonder why a ranked top-5 campus is so... lousy. Why had I said that? It was because the administration did not even notify the students in the BB that the lecturer will not be coming to the class and we students do not have to come and wait outside the class for nothing. Imagine almost a hundred students waiting for a lecturer and he did not showed up. Worse still, the admins did not even know that lecturer isn't coming today. Sigh.

It is 1 in the morning and I could not even get my eyes shut.
It was I, who decides how you would be,
It was I, who had decided to ignore you,
It was I, who in the last minute tried my best,
Just to get you to look bright, radiant and perfect,
And now, it would be you, who decide on my future,
Whether good or bad, this I have no rights of say.

17th November 2006, the feared day of many students of Swinburne, has arrived.

The timetable sucks!

I'm going to rant again.

The timetable sucks, my nightmare came true; I will have night classes for this semester (7.30pm - 9.30pm) on Thursday.

Sigh... I thought my previous semester's timetable was terrible, never knew that this is even more terrible. =/

The last day of holiday

As title says.

Today’s my last day of my 1 week holiday. Nothing much had happened (so I didn’t blog anything at all but I'm not slacking ok? XD).

Went out for a movie with friends on Wednesday and watched ‘The Stormbreaker’ the overall storyline is kinda boring and predictable but heck, I’d give it 3 out of 5 for some cool stuns and effect. I met an old friend Lawrence on the way to the cinema and chatted for awhile since we did not keep in touch, I also met Irene and her group of friends and the Anime club too (they were going to watch ‘DeathNote’). It was also the day I tried ‘kueh chap’ for the first time. It doesn't taste too bad though I specially ordered one without the body organs as I had a bad experience with them when I was still a child.

<-- They say he is very handsome to attract gals to watch this movie. What do you think?
I had my MUET exam yesterday morning till noon. It was easier than I had expected as I was only worried about the writing part since I heard many told me that for the writing part, you have to write 10 points and so on. I just hope I don’t screw this exam since I had not even took MUET tuition classes or even look through the reference books. Anyway, it’s over, no point to worry about it.

Looked through the timetable for summer semester and became wordless. It was then I understood why Jacqueline said the timetable sucks. Classes start at 8.30am in the morning and ends at 9.30pm at night when there are only 3 subjects for the coming semester (there are only 11 hours for a week which means there’s a chance you might or might not be assigned to the 6.30pm to 9.30pm time slot).

Recently, I realized that I had lost most of my feelings and emotions for those around me and always bury myself in animes, games, books and bowling to use up my free time and divert my attention to something else. So please don’t get angry or blame me if I don’t understand what the heck you are trying to say if you use emotions to talk to me. I’m still my old self though, I don’t smile, but I laugh. I was wondering – a guy without emotions is immune to feminine tears. I said that because there’s a young lady in my Bs3 clan which I am close with would always play around with us and usually say “I cry for you to see T_T…” to me when I laugh at her or make fun of her (I know I’m evil but it’s just for fun) such words also made me stop what I was saying and console her. She is attached in the real world (i think), just that I’m her ‘honey’ in Bs3. You know, the virtual relationship, but both of us know our limits and never go beyond the point. Coupling in Bs3 is as popular as in online games and I’m not the only one… XD

I never knew that my actions had caused trouble to a good friend of mine in secondary school (currently Lower 6) as he became the middleman for my problems and was teased by many people due to the misunderstandings and his popularity. Hahaha… I shouldn’t be laughing. Anyway he had his revenge on 1 of the many though. Well, I gotta be more careful with my actions in the coming days. Which means no more smsing her. (Well I had not even play smses with her since early September 13th ).

SO PLEASE DON’T SPREAD ANY RUMORS OR ANY OLD NEWS ABOUT ME DAMMIT!

Those are old news and past happenings, which are untrue about me anymore. Don’t go around gossiping saying I’m with so and so when you do not even know what is happening around me. Let me tell you, you wouldn’t like it when others gossip about you and someone else right? Sigh, it is your mouth and tongue; I can deny what you say but I have no rights to stop you from saying anything. Makes me recalled this – “my love for you is true, you can reject it but you have no rights to ask me not to love you.” I wonder which movie that was from.

Pardon me. Just that sometimes recalling that incident in F3 really sparks my anger. Trusting friends to keep a secret seem impossible, then why the heck do you ask me to share with you all and promised to keep it a secret between us only? If history repeats again, we’ll see what happens then. I’m trying my best to prevent it from happening again so don’t try me. I’m serious with my words. What I am trying to say is that I’m single. Not attached to anyone. I’m unsure when I would be ready to involve myself in relationships again. Nobody knows when that would be, even I myself don’t know.

Jeffrey’s birthday fell on 9th November. So here I am again to wish you a very Happy Birthday and may all your dreams and wishes come true!

Another bad day

A paper in 9am in the morning. Everything went well, thanks to the past semester exam paper available in the library. Those who did not get the paper will definitely regret as 90% of the MCQ questions are completely the same. Worse are those who had the past semester paper and did not even bother to answer the questions. To cut things short, everything went well for the majority.

The blackboard was down at the days of exam when everyone needs to access it to get notes or anything related to their exams. I wonder what section is responsible for the blackboard doing all the while.

Something troubled me very much today - my next semester enrollment.

I had enrolled before the closing date but was not told that the subjects I am to take for the next semester (after this coming summer semester) must also be included. Went to enquire the student admin at the 1st floor and I was given a brief explanation and a sorry AND I have to pay RM100.00%^$*!@##!@#* to re-enroll as my previous one would be void and not accepted.

Edit: Did not appeal today, somehow, they removed the fines needed to be paid. YEAH!

2/11/2006
This day marks the end of my exam days. Time to relax and enjoy~ *Dances around* I donno how to dance lol.
I'll have to learn to be thankful for during the last minute, God helped me through the paper. ^^

Err... What a day.

Woke up fresh early in the morning @ 3am. But for some reason I went back to sleep again and woke up at around 3.30am++ Watched 微笑 Pasta epi 15 before going to study. After studying till around 8am (exam at 9am), I went to prepare and went to Kelvin's house at around 8.15am because of car pooling. I was surprised and nearly fell down when he told me the exam is at 2pm. That shows the importance of 'exam' timetable (my research topic)

So I went back home and.. watched some anime with my bro :D . Then studied a little more before going for the exam. I went through a question on Makrov Process (which the majority of the class failed to answer during the 2nd assessment) but did not really understand the method of answering it, thinking that it would not be out during the finals - same like Jacky. And to our horror, that question (number 3) smiled at us when reading time commenced (10 mins reading time for all exams). I was wordless and tried to smile at other questions but I couldn't... not because the questions were hard, but because question 3 alone is 15 marks out of 108 marks. How could I smile, knowing that I will lost lots of marks in that question alone?

As if that is not enough, I timed my handphone to end silent mode after 5.10pm (ending time of the exam paper) and guess what? My hp ring at the exact moment the timed silent mode expired and everyone stared at me. How embarassing could that be?

I could only sigh and wish that time would just pass by quickly...

Three papers over, three more to come...

The paper i worried the most is over. Even so, that doesn't make me feel happy at all. Not because of the three incoming papers, but because I had set foot on the sinful ground which I could never forgive myself, to think that I could be forgiven by the Almighty one who watched over me all the time...

Six times, in one semester.
Wei Liang, are you out of your mind?

Maybe. Desperation leads to many unwanted happenings and I am one of those. All we want is to get over the barrier that is blocking us from our formal friends. Is that too hard?

Sigh. I may talk and might even smile like nothing had happened but nobody will ever know what resides deep within me.

What the F*ck are you bullshitting about mister?

A friend of mine told me about this link. Take a look at this.

Racism?

I respect all races despite the colour differences since all of us live under the same world. But since you mentioned that we chinese suck so much, what about you? Have you ever thought about yourself? Why not you clear the FREAKING ENORMOUS LOG in front of your eyes before clearing a small splinter you see in other people? Do I need to state all the shits your people had done? No. I don't have to as it would take hours and hours to mention every single thing you had done to disgrace the country. You know it yourself.

Do remember, without we chinese, there is no TODAY for Malaysia as according to the statistics, the chinese paid the most taxes AND take note that, by insulting we chinese, you are placing yourself in a EXTREMELY DANGEROUS position. Are you able to take on our mother country, China? You would be damned when your country gets overrun and desolated.
Freaking hypocrite cowards, if you wish to insult other races, just do it in the face damnit! Don't sit behind your monitor and cower behind your keyboard and talk shit in a forum but run like a dog without any direction when a bounty is awarded for your damned head. May you be smite with the light of justice.

Disclaimer: This post is not directed to any Muslims as it was only directed to the link mentioned above. Thanks and have a nice day.

Calculator crisis

Kelvin lost his calculator today. It was assumed that someone had stolen it while he left his bag in the slots outside the library or someone had taken it during EMa class. I can feel the stress in him, and his calculator problem adds even more stress to him… sigh... I’m not angry with the one who stole it, just sad for that person. Just imagine a student coming to Swinburne NOT to study BUT to steal. Swinburne educating thieves? Hmm…

Student trouble (male)

Went out to KFC with my parents for dinner. A treat from my auntie, to celebrate my grandma's birthday :) I think I'm gonna put on weight now..

off topic: it should be nice to put on weight, since my body weight keeps decreasing everytime I weigh myself =/

Btw... I found this in the internet. Anyone experience this before?

Wow @ the campus...

Stressful week

My semester exams coming in 2 weeks time, 3 assessments (1 on Friday and the other 2 on Saturday). There will be an IT presentation for every students next week... Video shooting included (need meh? you will only stress your students lah Miss! )
Prom night on 21st of October. That will be my first time attending such party... Anyone going?
Evans suggested that we (all of us) play a game. The game is, each of us must get a date during that night. Those who fail to get one must treat those who successfully get one a drink. Lets say IF everyone get a date except me, then I'd have to treat all of them a drink of their choice. I don't mind simple drinks, but what if they ordered liquor?! That would definitely nuke my wallet to shreds. T_T... Luckily, many of us had our own reasons not to get a date. As for me, I want to be single (yea I know, its a stupid reason). Kelvin says he's too quiet to initiate a conversation. Too lazy to type all the reasons of those who disagreed. LOL.
Can I not participate? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee? = ="
Kelvin and I finally persuaded Pauline to join that prom night. Pardon me, not persuade but force. I know this is not right but she did promised to join and since to book a table, we need to have 10 persons but we had only 8 person. So... Its not totally wrong right? Wanted to ask (I mean persuade) Stephanie to go too, but then, she said that we did not asked her to go earlier on. Oh well.

A good day?

Early in the morning at 1.50am, this guy woke up from his bed. Why that early? Because he slept at 10pm. -_- He wanted to go to his PC to check the downloads which had been left to download since 2 weeks ago. After crawling out of bed and landing his left foot on the floor, he went crashing down to the floor and injured his left leg. As he was about to scream in pain [and curse (insert foul language here)]<-- optional; his dad came to check what had happened as the sound could be heard even by the neighbours.
Yeap, that 'guy' is me. Somehow my left leg became numb due to the incorrect sleeping posture and injured my left leg. I was trying hard not to hobble in the campus despite the piercing pain. Luckily everything went well and no one noticed it... :D
We went to Da Lai (direct translation from Chinese is Big Come) @ King Centre for our lunch. After locating a place to rest our butts, we went to order chicken rice as usual. (Pardon me for my crude usage of language…) I Saw Lee Lee with her friend few tables away from us. Actually she saw me first and wave at me only then I noticed her and had a short conversation with her. Apparently she had extra classes if not mistaken so she took her lunch here since her campus is just a stone’s throw away.

After placing our orders, we went back to our seats and chit-chat while waiting for our lunch. Not long after our lunch arrived, Evans came too and joined our group. The cutlery surprised us as we thought that the worker might have made a mistake for giving us wood chopsticks and plastic spoons. Actually, I was hoping that it would be a mistake since I am not good with chopsticks no matter how many times I practiced. But it wasn’t a mistake! “Business too good, not enough time to wash cutlery” WTH is that supposed to mean? Dude, we ordered chicken + rice, not chicken + noodles damnit; at least give us plastic spoon and fork laaaaa~! Never mind that. A moth dropped into one of the bowl of soup and when I request the worker to change the soup while Tung Ing asked for Chili sauce (sort of chili sauce), the worker returned with 2 bowls of chili sauce and 0 bowls of soup. I guess the worker thought I wanted to change a bowl of soup with moth for a bowl of chili sauce. Oh well. What Tung Ing said was true. “This is like the older days in China.” I had a hard time using chopsticks to pick those pieces of meat let alone to pick rice… Well, I was the last to finish my meal even though Evans started later than me. After what seem like countless hours, I finished my lunch finally and we went back to the campus. (Evans drove another new car! I wonder how many cars does he have actually xD )

I wasn’t too pleased with my lunch actually but what can I say? We still have to be thankful for food on our table, unlike some other country without even any edible food. (Gosh I’m starting to talk like an old man); speaking of food, I suddenly remembered my uncle’s wedding dinner last Sunday. Relatives and friends were invited. My dad and his brothers sat together on the same table along with us. Everyone talked joyfully; well it’s a happy occasion anyway. Then one of my uncles noticed the boxes of beer placed on a side and called the waitress for 7 mug of beer. After what seemed like eternity, the beer was finally served. Even my bro drank beer, though it was just a few sips and he gave up. (Good start lah bro!) This was the 1st time I’m allowed to drink beer without any restrictions. It sure does taste bitter, and I mean REAL bitter as if I’m drinking medicine. Drank only 5 mugs during the whole dinner and when I look at the table next to us (my uncle’s friends) they drank non-stop. The waitress kept refilling their jugs with new beer, estimating that group of 10 had drank more than 10 jugs of beer. I kept wondering how the heck could they drank so much in just a short moment… never mind that. There are 8 dishes served to every table and they are:

Cold dish
Shark Fin soup
Peking duck
Abalone with Vege (+ unknown sauce)
Tilapia Fish (if I am right)
Roast duck and pork
Curry Tiger Prawns
Fruits and custard

Bad memory disease is attacking again; I couldn’t remember one of the dishes. That’s all I can remember for the time being. Time to retire to bed, I have MUET oral assessment tomorrow and need all the luck I can have… -_-!!
Edit: Partly correct QE :P , it does have vegetables; brocolli if not mistaken..

Tea ceremony

This morning, the 1st thing after I woke up from my slumber is... The damned mini project! Fun Yun MCed twice then only I told him I am waiting for my dad to send me to campus. Since my group members are not there yet (some were still sleeping or just woke up), so my parents asked me to go to my uncle's tea ceremony (for the wedding thingy, don't know how to explain this.. arrrr)
Why not? Since I never witness a tea ceremony with my own eyes. After we reached my uncle's house, I saw my grandparents sitting comfortably on the sofa watching tv programmes. Around 10 minutes later, the bride and groom came in. I was told not to look at the bride (superstitious believes or?) Nevermind that, my eyes were fixed on the tv watching "Miko, Go" (paiseh my pc cannot support chinese words) . The tea ceremony started and I moved away and observe how it was to be done. Grandparents sitting on the sofa and the bride serving tea to them, red packets were given after they finished sipping the tea. Then followed by my parents, the tea was served to them and again red packets were given. After a short pause...
These are directly translated from hokkien...
Bride: "Eh, how old is he(me)?"
My parents: "18 now."
The relatives: "He will also have to participate in the tea ceremony."
Me: (thinks to self) "What the.. So that means I also have to give red packets? But I didn't prepare any..."
The relatives: "You have to serve tea to the bride and groom and call them uncle and aunty."
Me(wondering what I should do though it sounds very easy) *serves tea and called uncle and aunty*
And I go wheee! inside my heart, 2 red packets for me... Erm.. I think thats all I can remember regarding the tea ceremony. Oh well, me and my bad memory. =/
Speaking of hokkien, here's a clip which you might find it funny. If and only you understand mandarin and hokkien.
Pronounciation is very important.

Bowling on Wednesday

After EMA class that Wednesday, SP called and asked us to go out for a game of bowling. Ya ya, i know what you guys would want to say... "WL you are supposed to study after class and you go bowling?!" =X

Kelvin, Shao Wee, Tung Ing, Soon Ping and me went to the Crystal Bowling Complex and played for 3 games @ RM10. Yes it's kinda expensive to me as my wallet is close to empty but heck, who cares? As long as it is fun is what matters!

SW said he played bowling for the 1st time and yet he plays well.. Kelvin and Tung Ing played very well while Soon Ping and I are still kinda new in this game. Everyone suits well with a 10-12kg ball but when I tried it, the ball flies up and goes bang! That @#*&@# ball rolls into the so called drain "gracefully" . Because of that, I took the 2nd heaviest (is it the 2nd heaviest) 15 kg ball only then it would not roll into the drain again.

Here's a few pictures combined into one, taken by Soon Ping with his camera (he goes everywhere with his camera. Be careful, you might get into his CC aka Candid Camera)

Shao Wee's "pose" is the best among us all; SW: "This is the first time I see you laughing till your face turn red."

Meaningful

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season!
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

This is taken from QE’s blog. I agree on every part of it – from the beginning till the end. There are many who had changed my life in a way; to the good and to the bad.
Many had stayed and many had left. Still, deep in my heart, I want to thank you all for bringing an impact to my life.
There are times when I wanted to reverse the time to correct my mistakes which I had done to many people but no matter what, it will never be possible… Sigh.
Yesterday is a history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift,
That’s why it is called Present!
Cheers! Time to go home~ xD
