This entry, is a rant.

I wanted to blog about this movie 1 week ago but couldn’t find the motivation to start it…

Its called ‘The Bucket List

I doubt anyone reading this will go and watch this movie so I’ll just go on with the summary. (You may skip this part if you are totally not interested in it.)

The story revolves around 2 man, Edward Cole, a multi-millionaire hospital magnate and Carter Chambers, a common mechanic.

Carter is a gifted historian whose ambition is to be a history professor but during his youth, he was “broke, black, and with a baby arriving” so he had to give up his ambition and took up any job available to him.

As for Edward, he is a corporate tycoon, divorced four times, an eccentric loner, whose daughter refuses to recognize him as her father and enjoys tormenting his personal assistant/valet, Matthew, whom he prefer to call as Thomas. He also enjoys the “world’s rarest coffee, The “Kopi Luwak”.

It began when both of them are diagnosed with cancer and placed in the same room of Edward’s hospital. As time passes by, they became friends while undergoing their respective treatments. Edward is fast in befriending Carter when he told his personal assistant, Matthew to serve his newfound friend – Carter too. He even told his doctor to familiarize himself with Carter’s current health condition.

Carter then begins to write a “bucket list” which is also known as “things to accomplish before kicking the bucket.” He is questioned by Edward regarding what he is writing on that piece of paper (the bucket list), which he politely refuses to tell.

When both are diagnosed with a maximum of one year to live, and Carter knows of it, he was upset and crumples his “bucket list” and tosses it on the floor. Matthew came in the next day, noticing the floor is a mess and picks everything up and passes them to Edward, who is curious to find out what is written in that piece of paper. Edward then began to add more items into the list like sky diving, visiting the pyramids, going on a safari in Africa. He even said that all the travelling expenses will be paid, Carter immediately agrees even though his wife disagrees about it.

The bucket list :

  1. Witness something truly majestic
  2. Help a complete stranger for a common good
  3. Laugh till I cry
  4. Drive a Shelby Mustang
  5. Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world
  6. Get a tattoo
  7. Skydiving
  8. Visit Stonehenge
  9. Spend a week at Louvre
  10. See Rome
  11. See the pyramids
  12. Get back in touch (previously "Hunt the big cat")

They started with skydiving (each with an instructor), where Carter is afraid of dying and pulls the parachute cord before the red zone while Edward refuses to pull his parachute strap even when his instructor insists that he has to pull it. After climbing the pyramids, Edward proposed that they cross off “Witness something truly majestic” as they sat down. Carter declines. During that period of time, they learn from each other and talked about their family. Edward said that he is deeply hurt when his one and only daughter disowned him after he sent men to “deal” with her abusive husband. As for Carter, he said that he felt distant with his wife.

When in Hong Kong, Edward hires a prostitute for Carter, who never had sex with any other woman except his wife. Carter rejected it when he realized that his love for his wife is still strong and asked to return home. In return for helping him, Carter attempts to reunite Edward with his daughter but things didn’t turn out well as Edward lacks the courage to face her. He storms off angrily and Carter returns home to his family.

Their family reunion is short-lived though because Carter suffers a seizure while in preparation for a romantic interlude with his wife. He is rushed to the hospital and it is noted that the cancer has spread to his brain. Edward (who is in complete remission) paid a visit to Carter, where he reveals the origin and the factors that contributed the unique aroma and taste of Edward’s favorite drink - the Kopi Luwak. Both of them had a hearty laugh and Carter crosses off one of the items in the list – “laugh till I cry” and insists Edward to finish the list without him before he enters the surgery room. The operation is unsuccessful and Carter passes on.

During Carter’s funeral, Edward was the one to deliver a eulogy for him, saying that few months before his death, they had been complete strangers. But those last months of Carter’s life (after they met each other) were the best months of his life. With that, he crosses off “help a complete stranger for a common good” in “the bucket list”.

Then we see Edward finally went to reconcile with his only daughter who accepts him back into her life, much to his surprise and joy. She also introduces him her daughter, his granddaughter that he never knew of and kissed her. Crossing “kiss the most beautiful girl in the world” off the list.

As the epilogue, we see Carter narrating stating that Edward lives to the age of 81. On the day he passes away, there isn’t a single cloud on the sky. Edward has his ashes placed inside the same type of can as Carter’s – Chock full o’ Nuts. Where Matthew carries his ashes to the top of Mount Everest and places it in a small black box – next to Carter’s ashes. With that, Matthew crosses off “witness something truly majestic” and places the list inside the small black box before burying it in the snow again.

*******

My dad once told me that the Bible’s teachings are very true. If someone slaps you on your left cheek, give him your right cheek too. If someone steals your coat, give him your tunic too. This should be familiar to most of us. From here I relate this to something that happened in the past.

It’s not that I like to bring up old issues but because whenever I think of that incident, my blood boils. No doubt, that incident I am talking about happened few days just after the final exam.

Introduction to Programming in C.

Students have to attend a 1 on 1 interview session with the lecturer, Sheldon Lee. Failure to do so results in a fail or N for the subject. (Or that’s what I was told)

I have no need to twist what I am going to write here. Everything happened below is true and there are many witness too.

There’s this person that I reminded him of his interview, not once but twice. The 1st time was 1 or 2 weeks before the interview and the 2nd time was the day before the interview. Either he did not believe what I told him or just couldn’t be bothered, that I don’t give a damn. The moment I asked him about it the 3rd time, he was taken aback and went to confirm it himself. Finally he believed me but that’s not all.

He put the blame on me for not telling him the THIRD time that today is the day of his interview. AND he still has the guts to tell another friend “SW, we fail programming because of him.” Deep within me, it took me so much effort to suppress the urge to retort back. Who am I, your servant? Am I paid to keep tabs of your appointments and all sorts of shit you do? NO! You are already 20 years old, and if you still can’t be responsible for yourself, nobody else can help you.

In the end, I gave in and say that it is my fault for not telling you the THIRD time that today is your interview. Yes, any human would have commented that it is a very stupid thing to do – admitting a fault that wasn’t yours to begin with.

Let me be frank, I am positive that many will assume that I am a quiet person, who always give in to other people’s will and rarely disagrees on anything even though I don’t like it. AND if you are willing to go as far as thinking that I am a good target for bullying, LET me tell this to you straight onto the face. You are wrong, so wrong.

“You weren’t wrong, why did you apologize to him?” Many questioned me that way. Sorry, but I usually give in until I believe the person that I give in to is incurable, then only I show my other self.

I give in because I follow the teachings of what I believe. If someone slaps you on your left cheek, give him your right cheek too. BUT every human has its own limit, you try stepping on my head and that is what will happen - Keyword: After MOS test 1.

Whoever is right or wrong, you know it yourself. Apology or not, it’s worthless from you. The last thing I want is to have you crossing my path. You MAY go and twist the tale and tell whatever you want if you intend to defend yourself. It has nothing to do with me anymore. I’ve finished my rant and have nothing else to say about it.

Felt so much better now. Sorry for the rant, I'll compensate by sharing these pictures :

Do you Maphack?

This morning, somewhere near 8am, a friend of mine smsed me asking me about the correct spelling of certain words.

The troubling part of the sms is: ‘I’m having test now. Need help!’

I didn’t know you could do this in MUET exams, or maybe it was just a mock MUET paper…

*******

We went to X-Fab, former 1st Silicon this afternoon. If I'm not mistaken, someone said Zhi Wei will definitely go:

Because the bus driver kept driving to the wrong road and had to turn back.

Overall it's quite an interesting trip if you are interested to work in X-Fab in the future. The designated time to return to Swinburne is 4.30pm. We reached Swinburne at 5.45pm.

*******

It’s been awhile since I last blogged, it’s not because there is nothing to blog but mainly because I don’t feel like it. This evening, I suddenly have this urge to blog again. It happened right after my EMB class ended at 6.30pm.

As I was stepping out of the lecture hall, I overheard a conversation between two guys talking about GG-client stuff and something I really hope that I had misheard - The legendary banned program/application - Map hack.

Yes, I am quite sensitive when it comes to ‘Maphack’ not because I am a maphacker myself but because I hate maphackers. I’d always called them nooblet, sissy, sore loser, and any negative name you could think of for calling someone else.

Luckily they were talking about GG-client that I wouldn’t give a damn of. As far as I heard from Bs3 forums, GG-client is full of leavers and noobs. It happened when someone from the vast population of Bs3 talked about how great he was in GG-client and expecting praises from everyone. Instead of getting what he wanted, he got flamed badly – nobody called him a pro but a noob. I pity him.

My point is: there is nothing to show off when you win a game using maphack programs. You might feel good about winning a game but what are you without your precious maphack program? You might be nothing but dust when u depend too much on it.

Ever heard of players using maphack programs and still lose? At first I find it unusual, having seen the whole map, one is like a god. But what’s the point of having a team of 5 players playing maphack? If they are just kids, I understand, but the majority of the players fall in the category of teenagers (13-19 years old).

No matter how a person uses his/her maphack program, they can never beat absolute teamwork. Like Chen said: DOTA stands for:

D - Defense
O - Offence
T - Teamwork
A - Attack? (Forgot)

Having all the 4 components ensures victory over your enemies. Whenever I played against a bunch of maphackers and still win, its time to do something I dislike – taunt. Yes, taunt them till the end of game, even until they had to type /squelch (my id). But I’m not alone, my teammates which are usually my clanmates will flame them too, in a more terrible way.

The first –ber month is coming to an end and Mooncake Festival ended yesterday. I received this:

After forcing persuading her to tell me how she did that, I made one myself:

There!

It’s just sad to wish yourself Happy Mooncake Festival =/

Departure

While I am blogging this entry, deep in my heart I hope for an explanation for everything that had happened.

A midnight conversation with a friend declined into a fierce battlefield when more participants were invited to clarify things up. Everyone was shooting their cannons points into the conversation. It was very chaotic until someone took the initiative to quiet down all the participants and told them to take turns to voice out their opinions and points or anything they have in mind with the condition of not going off-topic.

I admit that I can be hot-headed at times, that is why I always controlled my temper when I am facing the world. But when I am facing the monitor, I don’t give a damn about my temper especially when I am not in a good mood. But I still do consider the feelings of those who are with me in the conversation, thoughts of not going overboard and careful in picking my usage of words and so on.

There are countless gossips revolving in one single target, I have no need to mention what is that so-called target. It used to be for the whole community, but recently it seems like it had became limited to a number of people only.

The day we entered the race was the day we paid the fee and took up the challenge of the obstacle course, it was separated into 2 sections. The first one is just the basic while the second one is for the advanced levels. After passing the basic section only then will one be qualified to continue on to the advance section.

One of the fallen runner felt that:

Indeed we all began the race from the same starting point, even though there are no prizes for the champion, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up, we promised to accompany each other till the end of the line. The track is separated to 2 sections; the first one is the easier one out of the two. Many had fallen in the first section and those who had not, of course move on to the second section. But there are times when a few tripped and fall, resulting in delaying themselves in the long run. Of course, those who had not fallen continued to move forward, aiming for the ending point

It seems that those who were left behind in the first section were ignored and the ones in the second section cared only for themselves, in other words, became selfish and think only for their own benefits. Most of the time, those in the first section called out to the ones in the second section but whatever they mentioned fell on deaf ears. One of the fallen runners called out to those ahead of him in the second section of the race. Luckily those in the second section did stop and reconsider what those in the first section had mentioned though it must have been unwillingly.

It was already expected – those in the second section were in a different level compared to the first. What more can they say?

*******

Because the race was very long, breaks were given after a certain period of time. And when ‘that’ period of time arrives, celebration comes into the mind of many.

Another fallen runner believed that:

It is a special occasion for the majority, in fact, for everyone. A gathering was planned days before the actual day - the location is decided, the food was ordered, and the games were chosen. The host said that he will pay for everything first and the community had agreed to share the burden of the cost of the expenses.

After that fateful day, it seems like it was just empty promises made to a fool. No one even mentioned about the gathering anymore, maybe they had forgotten or maybe they were just pretending not to remember anything about it. To him, it seemed like he had carried the burden himself after all. He did not voice it out to claim the fees from the community but instead, he took it as a treat for them because they are friends of his.

Another person who had the similar experience with the person mentioned above felt that people like him and the one mentioned can only use money to show that they love their friends.

During the aftermath of the gathering, while two participants (A and B) were having a conversation. A mentioned that a member of the community wasn’t invited while B was shocked and wordless as it was the opposite for B because the so-called-uninvited member actually wanted to call off the gathering. He felt that the uninvited member called off the gathering because ‘someone’ couldn’t make it to the gathering but that ‘someone’ actually made it but came later than the agreed time.

Now B feels bad and upset at the same time, putting the blame on himself just because of some inconsiderate member. It might be a misunderstanding, or it might not be after all.

*******
After all that had happened,

This fallen runner felt that:

It had all been a play. A play and nothing more, at the end of the day, it was nothing more than he himself being the fool. He had always thought that he could get along with those who were now in the second section but he was wrong. Attempts had been made to get closer to them, instead of showing the same to him; they exclude him in the circle.

He told himself that maybe it is because he was still new to them and they need some time to get used to having another new member in their gang. Days passed and weeks passed but he waited patiently. A year had passed and it had still been the same. He began to felt fed up with them and decided to tell his friends who had accompanied him all the way from young about it. Instead of receiving words of comfort and encouragement, they reprimanded him for being slow to understanding the true picture of the whole story.

He had in his hand a number of the bright colored puzzle pieces. He never knew about the whereabouts of the other pieces of puzzles and had been naïve to think that by collecting all the pieces of the puzzle pieces and assembling it together, it will form into a piece of beautiful artwork with a happy ending.

His true friends showed him the pieces of puzzle they had in hand; they were not shinning with brightness but instead, the pieces were giving off an eerie glow of darkness. Nevertheless, piece by piece, the puzzle was assembled by him with the help of his friends. The puzzle showed him the true picture, clarifying what he was unsure or never knew of. Even though the puzzle is still incomplete, the majority of the pieces were dark, and the darkness had shrouded the glowing brightness of the puzzle pieces he originally had. He gave up assuming that the missing pieces were the bright ones since the dark ones had already outnumbered the bright ones by 10 to 1.

‘Closer friends’ is the keyword that triggered his anger. Enough said.

*******

He used to think that it was the best thing that happened to him when he joined the community though he never knew of any good reason to tell himself why he choose to join the community. He chooses to stay in the community because of a certain someone. That person is not his crush but a friend whom he respected.

Now he thinks otherwise, there is no need to look for a reason why he joined the community. He came seeking neither fame nor talent, but only to widen his circle of friends. Since such simple objective couldn’t be accomplished, there is no reason for him to stay on either.

When the time comes,
The sun hides its face and the sky burns a fiery red,
The moon appears and provides the land with its light,

Lighting a path,
No turning back, no regrets,
They will depart, not separately but as one.

Time will tell. Relations had declined into a steady stream of hatred and disappointment.

Attention: This is fictional and anything that resembles the above is of pure coincidence.

Being kind does NOT pay.

CNY comes once a year and I enjoyed it very much by going house to house, visiting my relatives and friends.

The third day of CNY, our usual gang of Swinburne-ians gathered at Jalan Song, in front of Pizza Hut. Chen purposely drove all the way down from his house and Soon Ping specially brought 8 more girls from his ex-school to join the gathering. Strangely, the majority asked for plain water only instead of carbonated drinks when we visit each house.

Also, we took at least one group picture whenever we stop at a house. Mdm. Lye prepared lunch for us since it was around 1200 to 1300. The houses we had visited in order are Kang Tzy’s house, Mdm. Lye’s house, Zhi Wei’s house, Jacq’s house, Ms. Sandra’s house, Esther’s house, Mr. George’s house, Siew Chein’s house, Tung Ing’s house then Siew Yong’s house. (Did I miss out anyone’s name?)

After that, our group split into two, the first group going to Winnie’s house while the other group went home for a quick bath before leaving for Irene’s house at 2030. Irene specially prepared dinner for all of us and we enjoyed it, some even had doubts whether it is really her who prepared all the food because it was delicious. Then the final house we visited for the day is Johnson’s house. He told jokes and did some miming to entertain us; somehow, Jeff and I were the victims for his ‘miming show’.

The fourth day of CNY was actually reserved for all the Gaporians or Stampians or whatever you call it. But somehow, someone else had other plans for the Gaporians currently studying in form 6 – by excluding the non-form 6 students from the list of house-to-visit. Nice friends don’t you think? Nevertheless, none of us were really bothered with it, a short moment of disappointment and that’s it, since it was ‘them’ who wanted to widen the gap between the Gaporians and the ex-Gaporians.

Starting off with Chin Chiang’s house, then Cindy’s house and Jeff’s house before going home to rest for a short while and visited Kimmie’s house during the evening. Both Kim and Aurelia played the same song - Houki Boushi (did i spell it wrongly? =/) for us before we head home.

I had been happy throughout the day until I saw this.

It says that I had been banned for being a leaver. But actually it was an act of kindness to the opposite faction – the Scourge.

Of course, I appealed in the ‘Banlist Appeal Compilation’; one of my friends appealed too.

*******

To whoever bearing the ID of lonewolf90, I represent all the 4 persons whom you had reported to pass you the message that, you better not cross paths with us, OR you will be the next noob leaver.

I had not used the banlist for more than half a year, you were and will ALWAYS be in my noob list.

I had been kind enough to let you go without banning you and this is what I get in return. Very well, let’s play.

I managed to borrow accounts from Dennis and use it for the meantime while waiting for the ban period to end. Berry reached home around 0300 and called me immediately when she found out that I was banned (my friends told her about it since they got banned too).

The first thing she said was to borrow me her own account, adding in that she can use her friend’s account while I use hers. Where else can I find such a good friend whom I had not met before yet helped me so much?

Sigh...

Friday’s the day for all students taking LAN subjects to hand in their SIaLS task 2; it was no exception for me too. But somehow, the deadline had been changed to the coming Tuesday. Meaning to say that if a student hands in his or her work during Saturday to the coming Monday, he or she will still get the total marks of 8/100.

After my class had ended, I asked my friends to wait for me while I help my lecturer to carry the entire task 2 from other students in my class to her car. On the way, she told the main reason she came to teach part-time in Swinburne was to learn referencing herself. I guess the pay for all part-time lecturers are the same, no matter what qualifications one has – RM60 per hour fixed. Why had I said so? My previous EMA lecturer, Miss Voon also said she was paid RM60 per hour to teach us students.

After bidding farewell to her, I went back and joined my friends who were waiting for me in the lobby. We took a short while to think of a place for our dinner, in the end, we had decided to have it in Tabuan Jaya marketplace. Called Robert on the way and he tagged along too, Zhi Wei and Kheng Seng came too. I met my parents in the market and was slightly surprised. They came to get some cookies and cakes for tonight’s cell group meeting.

After we finished our meal, we headed over to High Vision CC and played an old time favorite game – CS for an hour. The sound of shouting and screaming overpowered the speakers of the PCs. After that, most of us had a glass of sugar cane before heading back to Swinburne to practice singing some mandarin songs for the upcoming February intake students. The training commenced and Robert used an old program – sound recorder to record our singing and did a playback, so it would be easier for us to locate our mistakes and correct them easily. I took my leave at around 2135 and reached home in a while.

I was downloading ‘The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi’ recently, thanks a lot Tung Ing for the torrent. Anwar passed me a DVD this afternoon, containing ‘The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi’ and all the soundtracks. He happened to met me last night in MSN and I told him about it, and was glad that he did have the anime I wanted. Even so, I left the torrent to download as it was nearly halfway done. As I am typing now, the download is reaching its final stages - 99.4%. The reason I download that anime even though I have the copy of the anime was because the disc was a DVD type. Few weeks ago, Soon Ping and Tung Ing both passed me Tsubasa Chronicles Series 1 and 2, and sadly, I couldn’t watch a single episode because I don’t have a DVD-rom and I’m not sure when will I be able to get my hands on one. =/

Around 0030, Shao Wee told me about Chen’s blog and express his disappointment towards the choir club, I couldn’t agree less. This entry is taken directly from the blog, nothing is altered.

Disappointed to Choir Club

Well... as part of the Choir Club staff members... I really
disappointed to the way Choir Club decide things... We keep singing... but we
dont realise that we are having internal problem too. The best example is when
we are having presentation, we always do things in last minutes. Giving me less
than 12 hours time to finish a power point works, practising a song in last
minute, and also creating unneccessary posts like powerpoint designer, singing
assistant, and more. Well... what can I do? lol... whatever opinions come out
from little people like us... will never get accepted. Well im out from the
staff members. i rather be normal member.
And one more last thing is a new
member who only attend the practise for 2 times, and now they are thinking to
elect her as leader... wow... what the hell is going on here? Have you ever
think of how the old members feel? and furthermore everyone doesnt like her at
all... talk so loud and act like a leader...i dont see any good things from her
besides shouting all the time... =.= and they still suggest her to be a
leader... gosh... i rather let her to be rubbish collector than be a leader
=.=

Not that I’m complaining but there are many things that I agree with Chen. For example, do things during the last minute. Well, the majority of Swinburne students do their work like assignments and tasks during the last minute, some even asked for an extension. The 2nd thing I would like to stress is my disappointment towards my superiors.
Chen:

How sad... jordan and Judieth are planning to elect her as saprano
leader... lol... dont you think our committee are giving too many nonsense
suggestions? like... powerpoint presentation designer, singing assistant ( laura
is going to be ) , electing unneccessary people, and others... actually we can
give these job to any of us right? and the troublesome Dual-sex human is dream
to be a leader, come on...? She can never be leader with that stupid F*CK
attitude. tulan...

This new member, whom I do not even give a damn to find out her name, is a pain to the eye. Whatever Chen had mentioned in the quote is true or not, I would hope for the latter. I do not disagree with those positions like powerpoint presentation designer, singing assistant and so on, actually, if we look it on the other side, these position gives more members a chance to hold a position in the club, which will likely raise their morale in a way, to make the members come more often, knowing that they had a position in the club. Well, that’s my POV.

What I disagreed with is this new member, who claimed to have lots of talents and experiences in singing is going to become one of the leaders. What I’m trying to convey in my message is not that I do not believe in what she says BUT the majority DISLIKES her. I'm sure that there are many who dislikes her but the majority kept quiet. Some Swinburne bloggers like me and Chen are likely to blog about our disappointment and disagreement of appointing her to be the head of us which is going to bring disunity among our members and wreck the choir club, completely. I had seen that she is already taking control – during practice, she tends to take lead and correct us, give instructions on this and that which I find it very annoying.

Imagine a junior coming from other state and joined the choir club after leaving her criticisms and is now trying to teach us how to sing. It's not a matter of pride or dignity that I dislike younger people to come and teach us; we have our own tutor, Irene. She is tenfolds better than you are! It is the moment she shouted at us all changed my view towards her completely. I had thought that maybe she wasn't that bad after all, giving constructive criticisms but shouting at your seniors is out of the mind.

Sometimes, I wonder why they would want to elect her to be a soprano leader. Her voice is so dry and old to begin with – a complete 180 degrees compared to the current soprano members. Anyway, IMPO, her voice doesn’t even blend in with the altos, what to say the sopranos? If our choir club happens to perform outside the campus again, I’m sure you could see the number of birds falling from the sky increasing steadily.

Well, like it or not, we can only obey our superiors. There is no point to go against them because of one f*cked-up attitude junior. I might change my mind, IF and ONLY she changes her attitude 1st. Like I had mentioned in my previous posts before; your position at the peak of a mountain and the head of a pack does NOT make you the ruler of the oceans. C’mon, it’s just your 3rd time attending the choir club practice and you are trying to be in charge? That’s some guts you have there.

Just another day

My day in campus begins at 1321, after returning a book and borrowed another new one in the library, Kelvin and I went up to room 5.03 for our choir club gathering. Irene questioned me about the presentation on last week.

It all began on last Friday. We choir members were called up to come to campus at 0830 even though there are still some who came as late as 0930. The objective of this meeting was to perform for the orientation for the January intake Foundation level students. Irene came with a black plastic bag containing around 40 copies of song notes and lyrics, everyone performing was given a copy of it and we began immediately after a quick warming up. It took us less than an hour to get the tune right and around 2 hours to sing the song till the end. The title of the song is “Pass it Along!” We had our lunch break at 1130 and were told to come back before 1300. The majority went to Expert food court located at Jalan Song.

Around 1330, the freshmen were called to enter the auditorium where all the Presidents or person-in-charge of the clubs in Swinburne are to introduce and promote their respective clubs to the new students. After a number of presidents and PIC came up to the stage to give their speech on their club, it was the choir club’s turn. After a short introduction, all the singers began to walk up the stage into their position, preparing to sing to the audience. It was all messed up as Irene did not come up to conduct us, so we choir members were on our own. Only then I realize that our group of singers could not perform well without her. Even as I write this, I am not blaming her for that. It was over.

Despite that, criticisms came in soon, one girl from Perak came and commented on our performance – the performance is short of instruments, the singers’ voices are too soft, and the list goes on… bla bla bla, yada yada yada. I said nothing and took what she said as constructive criticism. She joined the choir club though as she said she represented her state in choir competition.

Well basically, that’s what happened during the orientation day.

Before all the choir members are present, Kelvin, Ah Seng, Shao Wee and I went over to room 5.04 to give Jess a birthday celebration and a surprise. I was told that Jeff, Soon Ping, Shao Wee, Ah Seng and the rest went to get a black forest + fresh cream cake for her as a surprise. She came along with our “Pro Geng” aka Fung Yun. There’s a reason behind his given nickname, I’ll talk about it later.

We took out the birthday cake and Jeff lighted the candles one by one. As the usual birthday ceremony, we sang a “Happy Birthday” song, followed by her making a wish before taking the life out of the candles. Before I continue further, I shall announce a new couple in Swinburne – Jessica and Fung Yun. How long they had been together is unknown to me but I’m glad things turn out well for them and wish their relationship to blossom. We ‘persuade’ them to kiss each other before they cut the cake. Again we ‘persuade’ them to play “Pass the Cherry”. It is a simple game of passing the cherry with your mouth and nothing else beside your mouth. So… here’s a short clip of what happened. Credits to Soon Ping for uploading it to youtube for the convinience of viewing.

Pass the Cherry

We nicknamed Fung Yun as PG or Pro Geng because whatever he does is always outstanding. For this case, they kissed each other during the mini birthday party even though they were only coupled recently - last week Friday if I'm not mistaken.

After that, we went back to 5.03 and began practicing the same song again. Nothing much had happened during the 1st hour. After 1430, only then that girl from Perak came with her group of friends. I looked at her with disgust, she looked neither like a male nor a female; a mixture of both IMO. No offence, period. Irene then gave a short speech on how we should behave ourselves when everyone talked at the same time, of course, all of us are like close friends, excluding the new members. So we tend to be linear with each other, like playing around and making jokes (though we are supposed to be serious). Then suddenly, that bitch (the girl from Preak) suddenly scolds us all on the top of her voice because someone was talking. It goes like this “Can you shut up/keep quiet? Someone is talking!” everyone was taken aback but said nothing.

I’d like to clarify something; I kept quiet not because I am intimidated by you. If I had not shown any respect (give face in mandarin) to our president, Jordan and our conductor, Irene, I’d gladly slap you, not only me, but quite a number of us WILL SLAP YOU and throw you out of the room. Think of your own fucking position before raising your voice. You may be the conductor or w/e position you were in your previous choir group representing your state, but our conductor, Irene’s own group of singers represented Malaysia. There’s nothing great in you. Your action is giving a bad impression to all the senior members of the club.

As Jacq had said before, both men and women should be treated equally, I will treat you like how I would treat any guy who does so too. Indeed I do have soft spots when it comes to treating girls; I’m sure most of the guys out there have soft spots too BUT… I don’t have any soft spot for girls with the likes of you. I may be quiet most of the time but that doesn’t mean you can step on my head. I don’t show my anger easily, but once I've shown it, be prepared to go to hell; that is when I don’t give a damn whether you’re a guy or a girl, whether you are a ghost or a creature.

Reading my post and got upset over it? I’ll give you (the girl mentioned above) a solution to solve your problem. F*ck off, your not welcomed here.

Pardon me for the vulgar words used.

A friend of mine once said that his life was controlled by his parents; so is mine.

It gives a very irritating feeling like a leech draining your blood from your body, dry.

I have nothing more to say. Good night.

Why must my sleeping hours be controlled by you? This is 2007's 1st day. Can I not be excused? It is 3.30am now. You're tired and I can tell it. WHY NOT YOU JUST GO AND SLEEP AND LEAVE ME BE!?

I’m telling you, boy, to show some respect to we students who wants to study. Even if you do not respect us, do you even have a slightest respect for the lecturer? You were lucky not to get sent out of the class unlike a friend of mine who was sent out for talking in a lecture hall during the 2nd semester, I need not reveal his name anyway. Try not to take the lecturer’s kindness for granted, you wouldn’t like it when things do not go your way.

I was told that it was you who promoted yourself as a candidate for SSSC 2007. A friend of mine said you do not even have the basic necessities of becoming a leader. I couldn’t agree less as you were nothing more than a pest in the class. From your outer shell, you looked knowledgeable and wise, but once you opened your mouth and started yapping non-stop, I knew I was wrong. I’ll let you know that you were hated by a number of students during the prom night as the MC (if I had not mistaken your face, which I doubt I have). Out of respect for those of my friends who knew you and treated you as a friend, I kept quiet.

Honestly, you are nothing in the sight of the majority. Like a lecturer of mine said before, learn to respect others if you wish to be respected by others. You coming late for class is pardoned by the lecturer, but not showing proper behavior and attitude is unpardonable.

Anyway, in case you are reading this. I’ll just get it straight with you.

You and your friends are not alone in the class; there are many students who wished to study.

If you dislike the subject, just get out of the class.
If you think you are smart, just get out of the class.
The class would be better off without you. Seriously, change your attitude, it sucks. Period.

What the F*ck are you bullshitting about mister?

A friend of mine told me about this link. Take a look at this.

Racism?

I respect all races despite the colour differences since all of us live under the same world. But since you mentioned that we chinese suck so much, what about you? Have you ever thought about yourself? Why not you clear the FREAKING ENORMOUS LOG in front of your eyes before clearing a small splinter you see in other people? Do I need to state all the shits your people had done? No. I don't have to as it would take hours and hours to mention every single thing you had done to disgrace the country. You know it yourself.

Do remember, without we chinese, there is no TODAY for Malaysia as according to the statistics, the chinese paid the most taxes AND take note that, by insulting we chinese, you are placing yourself in a EXTREMELY DANGEROUS position. Are you able to take on our mother country, China? You would be damned when your country gets overrun and desolated.
Freaking hypocrite cowards, if you wish to insult other races, just do it in the face damnit! Don't sit behind your monitor and cower behind your keyboard and talk shit in a forum but run like a dog without any direction when a bounty is awarded for your damned head. May you be smite with the light of justice.
